The two-day training sessions were attended by general manager Phil Massey, business area manager Mig Cardamone, business development manager Ryan Burr, and consumer channel sales manager, Heston Saldanha.
The team met with local Sennheiser partner aDawliah Trading, part of Universal Holdings, where Mr Burr conducted a training session designed to educate the partner on how the manufacturer’s products can be applied to various installed sound situations. The team explained how the systems can be worked into current projects. This included a comprehensive rundown on the manufacturer’s recently updated ADN conference system, its infrared simultaneous translations systems and TourGuide 2020 system, as well as discussing the capabilities of the company’s guideport system.
The second day included a presentation focussing on the consumer range of headphones and headsets and a seminar discussing brands Sennheiser Middle East distributes, including K-Array and DAS.
‘We have decided to really push our consumer range in the Middle East’, said Mr Saldanha. ‘The best way we see this happening is by getting the products out to our partners and getting them enthusiastic about the potential customer base we can build based on their quality,’ he enthused.
Meanwhile, the Qatar sessions focussed on customer visits, where local partner 51 East – formerly known as Modern Home accompanied the Sennheiser team. Accompanied by Mr Saldanha, the partner visited retailers and offered their advice on advising customers about its headphone range. Mr Burr again focussed on the professional install side of the business, educating Darwish Holdings on the capabilities of the K-Array range.
Discussing the K-Array line, Mr Burr said: ‘The uniqueness and innovative design of these loudspeakers makes them ideal, from both an aesthetic point of view and from a performance point to of view. They are suited for just about any type of project, whether it is a historical building where hidden audio is the remit, or whether it is a modern building requiring the most modern high output loudspeakers available on the market, K-Array is the ideal fit’, he asserted.
‘With our technologies developing into much more complex systems, it is very important that our partners and customers are offered both training sessions and some hands on experience with the products to ensure that they understand them and can see how they help improve the quality of the projects they are working on’, explained Mr Massey. ‘Our attitude towards education and understanding will hopefully help keep us at the forefront of all the professional audio business segments we are involved with’, he concluded.
