Ansata launches Indian education plan for d&b audiotechnik
INDIA: Ansata CS Pvt Ltd has announced its ongoing education and seminar strategy for d&b audiotechnik following its recent appointment as the German loudspeaker brand’s Indian distributor. The company has described itself as promoting d&b throughout the territory ‘with considerable vigour’.
‘We had already fully briefed all our staff and trained three engineers in application and service support at the d&b facility at Backnang by the time the appointment was made,’ explained Ansata founder Leslie J Lean. ‘We wanted to reach out to our clients and end users as quickly as possible.’
The new strategy follows a visit to India by d&b APAC education manager Gert Sanner. ‘In the space of a week I visited three of Ansata's seven offices, in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai,’ he commented, adding that ‘the others will follow shortly’.
Mr Sanner’s visits encompassed single-day seminars addressing audiences of 25 people at a time, and addressing a variety of topics. ‘The main thrust was to familiarise people with what d&b does, how our focus is on directivity control and how that affects the electroacoustic features of d&b loudspeaker design,’ Mr Sanner continued. ‘I also found the many sound engineers present, although pretty conversant with the fundamentals of sound reinforcement, were eager to learn about our ArrayCalc software and the premise behind simplifying the workflow.’
Following the seminars, Ansata will be attending the Palm India exhibition, beginning on May 29th at Mumbai’s Bombay Exhibition Center, with d&b’s technical sales specialist Ben Millson, and a full complement of the d&b range. ‘It seems there is a real hunger for these products,’ commented Mr Millson.
‘The response to the seminars was very positive,’ concluded Mr Sanner. ‘I'm already lining up a seminar season for September, when I'll be delivering more in-depth sessions on audio and line array theory.’
