Antonio Zacarias promoted to VP of worldwide sales at Meyer Sound
WORLD: Meyer Sound has created a new position for Antonio Zacarias, naming him vice president of worldwide sales. The move will see him relocate from Mexico City to the Meyer Sound headquarters in Berkeley in the next few months.
Reporting to executive vice president Helen Meyer, in his new role Mr Zacarias will supervise the company’s growing sales activities and support the brand’s international and regional sales managers by servicing Meyer Sound customers around the world.
This will include setting sales goals and forecasts, developing consistent pricing and distribution policies, and evaluating and communicating new product requirements and business opportunities. Mr Zacarias will also collaborate with the company’s marketing department on promotional activities and will provide technical information to customers.
Since 1998, Mr Zacarias held the title of director of Latin American sales at Meyer Sound, where he was ‘instrumental’ in contributing to the fast expansion of the company’s Mexico office – which he will continue to oversee in his new position.
Prior to joining Meyer Sound Mexico’s technical support division in 1997, Mr Zacarias was an audio technician and then the operations manager at Audio Concepto SP, and also worked at front of house and as a monitor engineer for artists including Pandora, Mijares, and Benny Ibarra.
‘As Meyer Sound and our product offerings evolve and expand, our opportunities and challenges are changing as well,’ said Ms Meyer. ‘We’re excited that we’re able to promote from within. With Antonio taking on this new role, he will be fostering a visible and consistent sales structure to benefit our sales partners, and will make sure that customers will receive the same quality support regardless of where they are.’
