Automatic mixing and more from Relacart
Relecart Electronics is now shipping its DAM-800 digital eight channel automatic mixer, comprising eight automatic mic / line inputs, with automatic gain that can be adjusted by microprocessor control.
A maximum of 16 units can be daisy-chained by an accessory link cable providing up to 128 operational channels. An RS232 data port provides a connection point to a PC or laptop loaded with DAM800 software for remote control, whilst feedback control can also be managed. Other features of the 1U height unit include an automatic threshold setting, 48v phantom power on each channel and room ambiance control via the last microphone connection.
The Enping-based manufacturer, founded in 1994, has also launched an all in one sound system that operates in the 2.4GHz band. The lightweight design comes with a built-in digital audio amplifier, which can control up to four simultaneous speaking microphones together with an output extension for a loudspeaker. The accompanying WRT-300 pendant microphone provides convenient hands-free functionality and can be suspended around the neck for use in classrooms. Equipped with a remote volume control, the 3.5mm input on the microphone accepts MP3, iPod and CD player sources to be connected.
