BXB awarded 2014 HRD InnoPrize
TAIWAN: Taiwanese manufacturer BXB has been selected out of more than 50 companies as a winner of the 9th National HRD InnoPrize. The award, which is handed to five companies each year, is given on behalf of the Taiwan Ministry of Labour in recognition of a continued focus on human resource development.
‘I believe that by carrying out my management concept of “Customers foremost, quality assurance, and talent cultivation”, BXB possesses a unique company culture; we pursue our own path firmly,’ commented BXB’s president Wu. ‘I run the business with the spirit of teaching, and believe that if employees are trained and cultivated, the company will naturally grow and make profit. BXB not only considers each employee as valuable human capital, but also believes that each person’s potential is unlimited in their own professional areas.
‘I often say to my employees, “When you work at BXB, you are your own boss!” The human resource innovation actually comes from the entrepreneurial skills that each staff member presents. We encourage everyone to be themselves and we support any innovative ideas, which has made knowledge-sharing within the organisation a prominent culture. Today BXB shares the great honour of winning the InnoPrize, however the credit goes to all the employees that perform even better than myself.’
The company has several platforms that it uses to foster knowledge creation and sharing throughout the company. These include an online cloud environment where every member of staff can collaboratively work on documents, a company-wide communication platform to encourage new ideas, and a series of brainstorming meetings to strengthen and develop the team.
In addition to human resources, the manufacturer has consistently placed a heavy emphasis on resource and development, resulting in several BXB products being granted permission to bear the ‘Taiwan Excellence Mark’. The Taiwan Excellence Award was established in 2002 to reward Taiwanese-manufactured products that excel in the areas of R&D, design, quality and marketing.
