Budee to build three stages at Strawberry Music Festival
CHINA: Beijing Pacific Budee Technology Development Co LTD (Budee) will build three stages for Beijing’s three-day Strawberry Music Festival at the Beijing Tongzhou Canal Park from April 29th to May 1st. Hosted by Beijing’s Modern Sky Entertainment, the event will be the first major rock and pop festival of the year in Beijing, and will be headlined by British band Travis, San Francisco’s Deerhoof, and Monokino from Holland.
The Budee team – under the guidance of sound engineer Li Feng – will build the Love Stage for the pop acts, the Strawberry Stage for the heavier rock acts, and the International Music Stage, which will host a variety of musical styles.
The PA system will be built around Martin Audio’s MLA multicellular line array loudspeaker system, Avid Venue SC48 and Profile consoles, and Lab.gruppen FP 10000Q and FP 14000 power amplifiers with Lake LM 44 processors. Microphones will be supplied by Blue Microphones, and will pull heavily from the enCore series, as well as some of Blue’s Signature Series studio condensers.
‘Our criteria for equipment selection is equal parts reliability, operating efficiency, and sound quality,’ said Mr Feng. ‘We have carefully assembled a system that will enable us to quickly and efficiently handle multiple artists, multiple soundchecks, and varying audience loads all while delivering audiophile sound-quality and total reliability. We are very fortunate to have on our team the legendary Wu Zhang, who will conduct system tuning and oversee sound check to insure the highest-quality sound throughout our three stages.’
