Clear-Com targets production environments with new headsets
The CC-300 and CC-400 are new professional headsets from Clear-Com. Designed for audio professionals that require the constant use of intercoms during long hours of production, the flexible headsets can be personalised for a comfortable fit.
The single-ear CC-300 and the double-ear CC-400 have been designed for comfort for long periods of use and accommodate a user’s individual preference. As such, the headsets’ microphone booms can be rotated 300-degrees, allowing the mic to be worn on the right or left side of the head. Users can also make the headsets larger or smaller by using the slide adjustments on either side of the headband. In addition, the enclosed headphones incorporate soft padding and a slight rotation to provide a better fit.
The headsets are equipped with hyper-cardioid dynamic microphones and high ambient noise attenuation headphones that deliver balanced audio performance, including up to 20kHz of frequency response. The microphones can be turned on and off by moving the microphone boom, and the headsets are equipped with a standard four-pin female connector.
In an additional announcement, the manufacturer has also released new range of V-Series rotary panels and the Eclipse E-Madi card. The V-Series panels provide users with enhanced control over audio level adjustments while the E-Madi card supplies 64 Madi channels per card from the Eclipse-Median or Omega digital matrix frames in order to facilitate higher levels of connectivity during production.
The V-Series rotary panels enable production teams and site technicians to quickly and independently adjust system audio levels from one or more audio sources, including external lines, partylines and intercom from other local and remote control panels. The panels are available in 1RU, 2RU, desktop and extension panel variants, and support faster and easier audio mixing for IFB assignments.
Moving on to the 6RU E-Madi card, this provides connection with standard Madi devices. Aside from its ability to supply 64 channels of digital four-wire connectivity per card, it also includes sample frequency choices of 44.1, 48 and 96kHz, a selectable channel/port quantity of 32, 48, 56 and 64, Vox on all 64 inputs, a fibre (MM) SFP duplex LC removable transceiver module and BNC Madi in and BNC out.
