Consolidated Audio Networks opens new service centre
SINGAPORE: Singaporean-based distributor Consolidated Audio Networks (CAN) has opened up a new service centre dedicated to specialised repairs, customisation and the servicing of pro audio equipment and musical instruments.
Located in Sim Lim Towers, the new operation has further boosted its CAN-do credentials by not restricting the new operation to solely servicing the ADAM Audio and Turbosound brands that it distributes in the Lion State.
The four man operation is headed up by chief technician Ravi, also known as ‘Goose’. ‘We all come from technical backgrounds and can repair anything including traditional Chinese instruments,’ he exclaimed. ‘Just because we distribute certain brands doesn’t mean we have to restrict ourselves to those brands.’
Also part of the team is Luca, a trained engineer from Italy with over 10 years’ experience having graduated in communications and media. He used to own a shop close to Rome before relocating to Singapore two years ago, and is also a musician.
‘Goose’ gained his credentials working in industrial, aerospace and marine engineering environments and has brought professional attributes with him to the new service centre. ‘Everything is logged as soon as it comes in and each piece of hardware is given a unique number. Our principles and procedures are based on good, clear communications which ensures that any potential disputes are nipped in the bud,’ he explained. ‘We have received great support from all the manufacturers that we work with and now work with a large, growing pool of customers. Parts such as valves for example can easily be bought on the open market and flown in quickly, although we also stock a large supply of parts.’
