Crestron Asia hosts CresConnect in India
INDIA: Crestron Asia recently hosted its CresConnect event in Bangalore for more than 250 A/V industry members to share insights, technological trends and present awards for the year’s most innovative projects.
Co-founder and executive director of Crestron Asia, Kanny Leong, delivered a welcome speech for guests outlining the changing landscape of mobile devices in India. ‘Thanks to the increasing penetration of smartphones, the number of BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) users in India is expected to reach two billion,’ he said. ‘Crestron is now working hand-in-hand with our partners to bring in technology that can keep us connecting to the future.’
Another key topic explored was the convergence of A/V and IT, and the manufacturer hosted CresTalk, a panel discussion seeking to define the key drivers for A/V and IT merging, along with the challenges that the industry faces. A live demonstration was provided to allow guests to explore Crestron smart solutions.
The event culminated with The Crestron Integration Awards, who’s aim is to ‘shine a spotlight’ on integrators that have specified Crestron solutions for various projects as well as to honour the year’s most innovative projects.
