CHINA: Crestron Asia Limited was recently named the second runner-up in the Top 10 Smart Home Brands 2012 category at the 13th China International Building Intelligence Summit 2012, and also won the Smart Home Brand Award at the Impact on China Intelligent Building Electrical Industry Excellent Brands award presentation ceremony.

‘Both awards highlight our leadership in home design innovation and our continued success in maintaining this lead,’ commented Kanny Leong, executive director, Asia operations of Crestron Asia. ‘While our home solutions embody intelligent engineering that improves convenience and enables smarter living, they are also designed to be sustainable and efficient. We strongly believe that today’s customers are looking for efficient home solutions that improve their lives, while reducing their environmental footprint.’

Organised by Qianja.com for over 12 years, the Top 10 Awards ceremony was attended by key professionals and industry leaders, as well as approximately 50 media representatives.

Meanwhile, the Impact on China Intelligent Building Electrical Industry Excellent Brands award assessed six important factors before selecting the winners, including price performance, brand influence, technology innovation, improvement in market reach, product portfolio and customer satisfaction.

This industry award featured two rounds of voting, with votes from both professionals and consumers collected over an eight-month period in 2012. Voters included China Intelligent Building Info web users, Intelligent Electrical Building Technology Magazine readers, and a range of industry professionals. This year a total of 659,460,000 votes were received, from which 20 brands were selected as the top 20 finalists before being assessed internally by industry professionals for the awards.

‘Part of Crestron’s commitment also lies in employing the right certified professionals and processes in developing these solutions, and this investment has paid dividends through industry recognition with various accolades,’ furthered Mr Leong. ‘Crestron Asia will move forward with the whole industry.’
