The rack-mount digital system provides DJs with mixing and platter-style playback control.
Denon DJ is shipping the DNHC5000 Serato ITCH Controller. The rack-mount digital system provides DJs with mixing and platter-style playback control. Using Serato’s HIDI technology for speed, accuracy and communication between software and hardware components, the DN-HC5000 acts as a USB 2.0 Midi controller, with internal 24-bit processing and USB audio, compatible with both PC and Mac. Additionally, the DN-HC5000 hardware unit offers analogue audio outputs for each deck so it can connect and configure to any mixer. The features of the player are accessed using two multifunction, touch-sensitive jog discs, FL tube displays and tactile rubber controls.
The manufacturer is also in production with the DN-S700 tabletop CD/MP3 player. The entry-level tabletop CD/MP3 player offers MP3 functionality for easy file search and selection, CD text display, auto or manual BPM, three onboard FX, four pitch ranges, hot start and seamless loop controls, fader start and pitch bend. The DN-S700 can read, display and play MP3 files written to CD-Rs providing DJs with the ability to store more music on a single media or for extended playback time. The Hot Start function provides playback immediately from a set point within a specific file, while the seamless loop function locates any section on a disc to be played repeatedly between A and B points with no break in sound or limit in length. Audio effects include echo (adds a delayed sound synchronised by the BPM), flanger (the feedback time and feedback gain can be selected) and filter (performs a frequency filter sweep as the jog wheel is turned). Other features include fader start, auto/manual BPM counter and pitchbend via the jog wheel.
