DiGiCo names new distributor

TURKEY: Atempo has been named as the new exclusive distributor for DiGiCo in Turkey. The deal sees the console manufacturer join the likes of d&b audiotechnik, Electro-Voice and Shure in the distributor’s portfolio.

‘We have been following the progress and development of DiGiCo for some years. It is certainly the top rider console around the world with one of the best R&D teams in the industry,’ said Atempo’s Volkan Konuralp. ‘We sat down earlier in the year and addressed our interest in DiGiCo. We had numerous meetings with detailed strategies to address specific markets. In the end, they were also convinced that Atempo has the right company structure and philosophy to distribute DiGiCo.’

‘We are very excited about working with Atempo. It’s an established company that has an impressive team that has proven success in the pro, broadcast and install markets and a good dealer network,’ added DiGiCo's James Bradley. ‘The timing of this appointment is perfect, as we bring new products to the market, including the revolutionary S21.’

Mr Konuralp believes the console brand will be an important addition to the distributor’s portfolio. ‘We put a lot of importance on representing good quality products which we know will be a good investment to our customers,’ he reasoned. ‘DiGiCo makes products that do just that.’

He is also certain the company’s setup will be advantageous for the manufacturer. ‘We have a number of offices that cover different regions of Turkey as well as different strategies to address specific vertical markets,’ stated Mr Konuralp. ‘We have the most sophisticated console training programme in our country for the rental market as well as dedicated project teams that address the installation market. Atempo Group has an individual broadcasting company, Mavi, which specifically addresses broadcasting projects and customers. We have the financial strength to invest into demo equipment as well as the power to get involved in the installation projects. And last but not least, Atempo is a passionate company. We distribute the products that we love and we work day and night to make a difference for our products in Turkey.’

‘Atempo has an impressive resume of projects, including the Zorlu Center PSM in Istanbul, where they installed an SD7,’ added Mr Bradley. ‘They are committed to educating the market, conducting regular free customer training and have the right approach to after sales support, which fits perfectly with DiGiCo’s way of working.’

While there is already a positive perception of DiGiCo in the Turkish market, Atempo aims to enhance this further by hosting training sessions and making the consoles more visible in the market. ‘We have number of training activities planned,’ said Mr Konuralp. ‘The first scheduled training sessions will start around the middle of September.’

With the deal signed, Mr Konuralp is looking forward to a long relationship with the console manufacturer. ‘DiGiCo is one of those brands that doesn’t only generate sales, but also broadens your horizons both technically and culturally,’ he reasoned. ‘We feel very comfortable with the products and the DiGiCo team. They are all smart and fantastic people. We believe the cultures of the two companies match seamlessly and we are looking forward to a long relationship that will bring success to both companies over decades to come.’
