SOUTH AFRICA: Full service film and television postproduction facility, Digital Workshop, has invested in high-speed file transfer and workflow automation software from Aspera. Digital Workshop selected the Aspera Faspex server and Aspera Orchestrator to be used for ingest, management and distribution of the hundreds of hours of media content it receives daily from global content owners.

'Our investment in Aspera solutions has enabled us to enormously simplify our internal processes and save considerable time that was previously taken up with manual tasks,' said David Rypstra, managing director at Digital Workshop. 'Now we're able to receive, process and supply high-quality content faster than ever, without delay, within hours. Our fast delivery and reduced turnaround time positions us ahead of the competition in South Africa.'

'For a full-service postproduction company like Digital Workshop that requires the fast turnaround and daily delivery of thousands of hours of high-resolution digital content in varied formats, Aspera provides high-performance and security,' added Bruce Brewer, EMEA sales director at Aspera. 'By transforming how they manage digital media, Digital Workshop now has absolute automation and transparency of its internal workflow.'
