Dominic Jacobson appointed SSL area sales manager
AFRICA: Dominic Jacobson has been appointed area sales manager for Solid State Logic serving zones such as North Africa, India and South Europe. Mr Jacobson is fluent in both Spanish and French, and has worked extensively in the Middle East, India, Russia and Southern Europe in positions ranging from equipment sales to working with film post production companies, broadcasters and musicians/composers.
Past positions include working at Reuters as a satellite coordinator, for Thomson Netg as a software localisation engineer, for Sony as a pre-sales/support technician for audio and video media products, and he also spent four years as a sales manager at Avid and Euphonix selling professional mixing consoles.

He brings with him an excellent track record in equipment sales and hands-on studio experience, so he understands the needs of a creative studio environment from both sides of the glass. Mr Jacobson is also involved with music production and content creation, and has worked with Charlie Watts and session drummer Jim Keltner, Japanese R&B singer Misia, Ursula Rucker and the group Tom and Joyce. He has also performed remix and production work for labels such as Sony, Mercury and Virgin, as well as for smaller labels such as Talkin' Loud, Yellow Productions and K7.
In addition to this, Mr Jacobson is a music composer, and has composed content for advertisements and virals for Nike, Ford, Proctor & Gamble and LG.
