Electro-Voice has added a number of new models to its EV-Innovation family of installation-dedicated loudspeakers from the EVA (Expandable Vertical Array), EVF (front-load) and EVH (horn-load) ranges.

The EVA-1151D single 15-inch subwoofer and EVA-2151D dual 15-inch subwoofer both incorporate a new high-power 500W continuous DVX3159A woofer, which can be configured to provide a cardioid directional pattern, thus reducing feedback and keeping low-frequency signals out of undesired areas. The new EVA-SG2 and EVA-EG2 grids allow the EVA subwoofers to be arrayed with full-range elements, whilst the EVA-CG coupler grid allows single subwoofers to be flown behind a full-range array, or to configure dual subs in front with a single sub behind for cardioid arrays.

The EVF-1122D/XX 12-inch and EVF-1152D/XX 15-inch full-range systems augment the currently available “S” full-range systems, featuring 500W woofers, a DVX3121A 12-inch and DVX3151A15-inch woofers respectively. The “D” full-range systems feature new DH7N large-format compression drivers, for which seven coverage patterns are available, ranging from 40°x30° (/43) to 120°x60° (/126), for which all the horns are rotatable. The 800W rated EVF-2121S dual 12-inch low-frequency loudspeaker joins the EVF-1121S single 12-inch system, which is capable of producing a maximum SPL of 129dB continuous. The 1000W rated EVF-2151D dual 15-inch front-load subwoofer combines two DVX3159A woofers, extending the lower frequency to 43Hz, whilst producing a maximum SPL of 131dB continuous.

The EVH-1152D/XX 15-inch horn-loaded full-range speaker combines an S full-range, horn-loaded system and DH7N large-format compression driver with 3-inch diaphragm and a neodymium magnetic structure. Six coverage patterns are available, ranging from 40°x30° (/43) to 90°x90° (/99), with directivity control to 500Hz, for which all the high-frequency horns and mid-frequency waveguides are rotatable.

The manufacturer has also added the WTU-2 compact bodypack and the PHTU-2 handheld transmitter to its RE-2PRO wireless microphone system. Equipped with EV’s one-touch Auto-ClearScan function, the WTU-2 compact bodypack is housed in a cast magnesium with a flat steel beltclip. It includes a programmable on/off/mute switch, EV guitar optimisation mode, a TA4 connector for all EV mic options and can operate for up to eight hours on two AA batteries. Housed in an ABS plastic body with interchangeable microphone heads, the PHTU-2 handheld transmitter features a user accessible on/off/mute switch, defeatable on/off switch and can operate for eight-hours on one 9 V battery.
