Eclipse adds to screen inventory
UAE: Eclipse has added Radiant 9mm LED screens to its inventory. The product is the updated version of the screen that is currently touring with Muse, and previously Coldplay. Eclipse is now awaiting the arrival of 168 sq-m of the 9mm screen.
Following a successful season where the production company put to use a number of different screens on various shows, Eclipse decided to look for the type of lightweight and transparent screen that is utilised throughout Europe and the US. It wanted an LED option that could be used indoors and outdoors, and for all sizes of events.
‘I went with our head of video Paul Foschi to see a number of LED Screens, in China, last year and returned in July,’ said Eclipse chairman Mark Brown. ‘We had the great opportunity to not just meet with LED suppliers but also to visit factories and witness the manufacturing process too.
‘Our final decision was based on numerous factors that were weighed up between myself, our general manager Darren Hodge, and Paul, and the belief that we are filling a hole in the current middle east market,’ continued Mr Brown. ‘We are proud to be bringing such a great addition to our video department and Dubai.’
This screen is lightweight, at only 19kg per sq-m, and virtually transparent. The technology has been tested to be suitable for events within a temperature range of -20-degrees Celsius to 45-degrees Celsius, making it suitable for use within the Middle East with its high summer temperatures.
In addition to the purchase of this screen, Eclipse will be adding more fixtures from the MAC Viper range to its lighting department, along with new consoles to the audio and lighting departments.
