The launch of the Eklipsa series of horizontal arrays and expansion of the M Series of floor monitors marked Adamson’s appearance at the recent Pro Light & Sound show.

Intended for touring companies, theatres, nightclubs and live performance venues that do not require the longer throw of a line source system, the Eklipsa array is available in 12-inch (Eklipsa 12) and 15-inch (Eklipsa 15) bi-amped versions, and uses Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture and patented High Frequency Wave Shaping technology. Both the proprietary ND12, 12-inch neodymium low-mid transducer, and ND15, 15-inch neodymium low-mid transducer, feature a progressive Kevlar cone geometry that reduces modal behaviour, providing an improved and linearised pass-band throughout the vocal range. The High Frequency Wave Shaping sound chambers insure a uniform wave front that does not interfere with the adjacent enclosures in the array. Each waveguide is loaded with a 4-inch diaphragm neodymium compression driver allowing for extremely high output.

Eklipsa offers a tight 18° x 60° horn pattern and, while it is initially aimed at horizontal arrays, multiple cabinets can be flown in a vertical array to enhance Eklipsa’s flexibility. Additional hardware is required to build a vertical array. Tight pattern control is essential for indoor venues such as houses of worship, where hard surfaces can cause reflection issues. For outdoor applications, Eklipsa is well suited to sports arenas and stadiums, where its high SPL and tight dispersion promise high intelligibility.

The M212 is the latest addition to the M-Series floor monitor family. Loaded with two ND12, 12-inch neodymium low-mid transducers, each featuring Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture, the twin 12 monitor is paired with a 65° conical waveguide loaded with a 3-inch diaphragm compression driver. The M212 is a bi-amped cabinet weighing in at a mere 74lbs. The M-Series is dedicated to demanding performance and with extremely high SPL requirements.
