FBT flown at Zambia Air Force Banquet Hall
ZAMBIA: Native Sounds & Essentials has installed an FBT system into the newly constructed Zambia Air Force Banquet Hall. Native Sounds was selected to supply the professional audio and lighting system over three other companies following a public tender.
‘The client, Zambia Air Force, needed a modern system to suit their venue. A system that could be used for both DJ and live sound applications,’ recalled Patrick Musonda, owner of Native Sounds. ‘We had two options, either go for the Modus or the Muse 210LA with the Subline 218SA subwoofers. Our technical team, after taking into consideration the room dimensions, settled for the Muse and Subline.’
The hall itself has a seated capacity of 1,500 and a standing capacity of 2,500. To cover this space, Native Sounds flew six FBT Muse 210LA per side with four Subline 218SA subwoofers installed under the stage. Audio mixing was via a Behringer X32 digital console and a further two FBT DLM26 digital loudspeaker processors were used. Mr Musonda describes the installation itself as straightforward. ‘We had no major challenges as the system comes factory configured and the instructions are easy to follow,’ he reasoned. ‘Further Luigi Paoloni of FBT and his team were at hand in case we had issues.’
Mr Musonda believes it has been a unique installation due to the quality of equipment supplied to the Air Force. ‘The client is overwhelmed by the sound quality the system delivers. The Muse produces clarity even at high volume and the punch from the Subline woofers is unbelievable,’ he reflected. ‘We at Native Sounds & Essentials are so proud to be associated with FBT and are happy the client got what they wanted.’
