Furman gets Smart with CN-1800S and CN-2400S sequencers
Furman is now shipping its CN-1800S and CN-2400S programmable Smart Sequencers, which have been designed to allow even the largest and most complex A/V systems in commercial installations to be powered on and off safely with a single press of a button or turn of a key.
The two 1RU rack-mountable units represent the first two products in the US manufacturer’s Contractor Series, for which the CN-1800S and the CN-2400S provide 15A and 20A capacity respectively. Smart Sequencing's bi-directional communications between installed units enables a primary unit to control and sequence multiple secondary units, ensuring multi-zone electronic systems are powered on and off safely and dependably from a single control point across an entire installation. Units can be connected via current loop at runs of more than 300m with full backwards compatibility with Furman's legacy sequencers.
Both the CN-1800S and CN-2400S support RS-232 communication with command sets for integration with control systems. An optional RS-232-to-Ethernet adaptor adds full IP-addressability to the units, allowing them to be controlled, programmed and monitored from a smart-phone, tablet, PC or any web-enabled device via Telnet, direct HTTP connection or Furman's BlueBOLT hosted remote power and energy management platform.
Both devices feature eight rear-panel outlets in addition to one front-panel convenience outlet in four duplex outlet banks, with three of the banks capable of being sequenced on and off with an adjustable delay. All outlets provide clean, safe power with Furman's SMP, EVS, and LiFT protection and filtration technologies.
