Harman Pro announces three new strategic business units

WORLD: Harman’s Professional Solutions Division has announced three new company appointments – each to lead their own strategic business unit (SBU) – as part of its new ‘customer-centric organisational model’. The new team will see Bryan Bradley lead the Entertainment SBU, Kevin Morrison the Enterprise SBU and Mark Ureda the Products SBU. The announcement was made by Harman executive vice president and Professional Solutions Division president, Blake Augsberger.

‘Bryan, Kevin and Mark are the ideal leaders for our new customer-centric organisational model,’ stated Mr Augsburger. ‘Their deep understanding of these markets and technologies will allow us to develop breakthrough products and solutions tailored to customer needs, streamline sales and support functions, and drive high growth rates in targeted vertical markets.’

The new entertainment SBU will be responsible for supporting the Professional Division’s retail, recording, touring and cinema customers. Mr Bradley takes charge of the Entertainment SBU having previously led the Microphone/Headphone SBU, and prior to that was vice president and general manager of the division’s Loudspeaker SBU. Prior to joining Harman, Mr Bradley served as COO of Alfred Music Inc, where he reportedly helped optimise a number of the company’s operations.

Led by Mr Morrison, the Enterprise SBU will support the manufacturer’s install customers, encompassing audio, video, lighting and control solutions for corporate and commercial applications. Mr Morrison brings to the position a proven track record of double-digit growth and has reportedly exceeded his sales targets with his teams for the last five years. He also brings global leadership experience, having been CEO of Endeleo for more than three years and president of CCC USA Inc for eight years.

Lastly, Mr Ureda will take charge of the Products SBU. He joined the manufacturer in 2010 as vice president and general manager of JBL Professional, before moving in 2012 to the position of vice president, strategy and technology for the Professional Solutions Division. Prior to joining Harman, Mr Ureda served as vice president of corporate strategy for Northrop Grumman.

The new SBUs will be supported by a shared services organisation, who’s leaders include Erik Tarkiainen, marketing communications; Matt Bush, operations; Troy Peterson, finance and Chris Rau, human resources.
