JBL and Jands team up at PJ’s Irish Pub

Published: ASIA

AUSTRALIA: Xcite Audio Visual was recently contracted to supply PJ’s Irish Pub Parramatta with a ‘comprehensive and quality’ audio system. Turning to Jands for distribution duties, Xcite AV installed an integrated JBL system, as well as digital signage and DJ/performance rigs.

Recently benefitting from a multimillion dollar refurbishment in mid 2012, the Irish themed bar offers a combination of live entertainment and ‘award winning’ food and drink.

Many of the venue's key areas are now serviced by JBL’s Control Contractor Series of installation loudspeakers. The outdoor courtyard features 10 Control 28 wall mount speakers whilst the first floor outdoor terrace has eight Control 25 cabinets. The restaurant was equipped with eight Control 24CT compact in-ceiling speakers.

A Bss Blu-8 programmable zone controller was installed into the restaurant area for staff use, whilst Control 28s now reside in the function rooms with Control 25s for the private function area. The toilets all feature JBL 8124 in-ceiling speakers.

‘A JBL solution is fairly standard for us these days,’ commented Brendon Fava, director of Xcite Audio Visual. ‘The Control 28 speakers are great for outdoors and their wall mount bracket makes installation a breeze. For a smaller, box-type speaker, the JBL 25 fits things perfectly and I really like the sound quality for the size.’
