LAX provides sound for third Asian Beach Games
CHINA: LAX recently provided the sound reinforcement system for the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Asian Beach games in Haiyang. LAX was the official sound provider for the event, having previously enjoyed success at the Bali edition of the games in 2008, and in Oman in 2010.
Attended by 20,000 spectators, LAX installed a ‘simple and reliable’ system into the 1,445 sq-m venue for the 80-minute opening ceremony, which included performances from drummers, dancers and artists. The ceremony was divided into four parts, and sported the themes: ocean, sun, passion and fashion.
In total, 14 groups of three LAX AT3212-V2 speakers coupled with two LAX Sub AT218Bs were used to cover the event. In addition to this, 56 AT3212-V2, 18 TH615 loudspeakers, 20 AT218B subwoofers were deployed, driven by 52 MT1300 amplifiers.
‘The sound was wonderful,’ declared Lu Jian Kang, the director and manager of the game’s opening ceremony. ‘The quality of LAX systems is above many other foreign and famous brands.’
‘This was the third time LAX covered the Asian games, and each time the system was safe and well up to expectations,’ said an LAX spokesperson.
