MGI becomes ISO 9001:2008 certified
QATAR: Media Group International (MGI) has been awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification, for quality management. MGI is the first company of its kind to receive the accolade within the Middle East region.
The certification follows a thorough auditing and validation process by the British Standards Institute (BSI), and will see the company regularly continue to comply with quality monitoring processes. According to MGI, ISO 9001:2008 accreditation ‘guarantees optimum quality assurance and control’ to its customers.
‘This great achievement is a strong stepping stone for Media Group International towards excellence,’ said Paul Hennessy, CEO of Media Group International. ‘The award of the ISO 9001:2008 certification is evidence of the company’s on-going commitment to quality management and continual improvement. It also demonstrates Media Group International’s promise to consistently provide quality products and services to its customers. I would like to congratulate the entire project team, senior management and all staff members who were involved in this project.’
The award was presented by representatives from the BSI to Mr Hennessy at the recent Cabsat show in Dubai.
In other news, the company has also announced it will open two new facilities in Dubai. In Dubai Media City, MGI will open a new sales and marketing suite, servicing customers in a face-to-face environment. The new sales and marketing suite is expected to open in Q2 of 2013 at Concorde Business Tower.
The company will also open a purpose-built datacentre facility in Dubai Studio City. The datacenter will be a technical pre-build facility with a technical workshop offering 24 hours a day, seven days a week support systems and capability. It will house several departments and functions including design office; technical pre-build; testing and commissioning; remote monitoring; hosted services; proof of concept; system demonstrations; training; research and development.
