Mahatma Mandir congress centre opts for Beyerdynamic
INDIA: The Mahatma Mandir meeting and congress centre in Gujarat has been equipped with conference and interpretation technology from Beyerdynamic. The project was equipped by the manufacturer’s local partner, Pyramid Technologies.
Inspired by the life and ideology of Mahatma Gandhi, Mahatma Mandir has been designed and constructed by the Gujarat government as a memorial and place of unity and development. The building is one of the largest meeting and congress centres in India.
The large congress hall can seat 5,000 people and hosts several international events a year. To cover this type of event, a new solution offering interpretation and multiple language options was required. The system also needed a wide range to cover the entire hall.
To meet these needs, Pyramid supplied the SIS Simultaneous Interpretation System. Seven SIS 1202 double consoles can be found in separate booths on the balcony in the rear part of the hall. The seven foreign languages are simultaneously transmitted to the digital Iris Infrared Transmission System. The Iris EF infrared high performance radiators are installed on the ceiling to ensure optimum reception quality in the whole hall.
Away from the large congress hall, Mahatma Mandir’s meeting rooms have also been equipped with Beyerdynamic’s wireless MCW-D 50 conference systems.
The new system was put to the test for the first time for Vibrant Gujarat – one of the congress centre’s biggest annual events. Reportedly, the use of the new solution was a complete success.
