Master Audio delivers an uncoloured mix for Vietnam’s Colour Run
VIETNAM: Loudspeakers from Spanish manufacturer Master Audio were recently used for the after-race concert of the first Colour Run to take place in Vietnam.
A unique race nicknamed ‘the happiest 5k on the planet’, The Colour Run originated in the United States in 2011, and sees participants splashed from head to toe in coloured powder. The Vietnamese event was staged on the streets of District 7 in Ho Chi Minh City, followed by performances from Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child and Australian singer Timomatic, both of whom appeared on an outdoor stage close to the finishing line.
The concert set-up consisted of a Master Audio Xcellence line array system. Left-right hangs each comprised single X215W subwoofers together with eight X210 cabinets and four X208 models as down-fills suspended from overhead trusses. The Barcelona-based manufacturer didn’t add any colour to the mix, for which the dual X210 arrays provided even dispersion across a horizontal plain of 120-degrees whilst the X215W subwoofers pushed the low frequencies going down to 32Hz.
