MediaPro use Christie for Etisalat football finals

Published: MEA

UAE: Dubai-based A/V company, MediaPro International, called on a number of Christie products to show the action from the Etisalat Pro League football finals to a crowd of 11,000 people in the Tahnoun bin Mohamed Stadium in Al Ain.

Contracted by Al Ain Football Club, the production company used three Christie Roadie HD+35K projectors (along with two Christie HD18K 3-chip DLP projectors) to show HD content and bespoke graphics throughout the event.

Images were projected onto a huge 60m x 90m canvas, using the Christie Twist module in the projectors, with the show run through a Dataton Watchout system.

With a throw distance of around 55m, MediaPro used 1.45-1.8:1 zoom lens on the projectors, which were mounted on scaffolding platforms positioned in the upper grandstand. This formed the centrepiece of a show in which the company also fielded more than 500 luminaires, an LED 6m x 8m screen and a complete audio system.

MediaPro International has been running Christie projectors as its front-line devices since 2008, when it purchased its first DS+8K projector, and to keep its inventory at the cutting edge it has recently added new Christie J Series models to its hire fleet in the shape of HD9K-J’s and HD20K-J.
