Mega Sound Workshop returns for 2014
MALAYSIA: Organised and hosted by the Mega Chinese Methodist Church in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, the annual Mega Sound Workshop will take place from May 1st to 3rd. The event has become one of the major dates on the training calendar for worship volunteers. Since its inception in 2001, this workshop has trained literally hundreds of church audio technicians from all over Malaysia.
The workshop, which is aiming to help improve audio in houses of worship of all denominations throughout Malaysia, will include topics such as sound reinforcement systems, system components and set-up, the features and functions of both analogue and digital mixers, the basics of sound mixing, stage monitoring for singers and musicians, microphone systems and miking for speech, singing and instruments, as well as the use of cables and connectors.
Renowned consultant and trainer Robert Soo will be the main speaker at the Mega Sound Workshop 2014. As principle speaker at the event, Mr Soo will offer an unbiased and extremely knowledgeable window into professional sound production. Mr Soo is the principal consultant and trainer at Cogent Acoustics, specialising in house of worship A/V.
