Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium installs Proel
UAE: Abu Dhabi’s Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium has installed a Proel Axiom system. The new solution is part of a wider programme to modernise the stadium and increase its capacity to 60,000.
Proel worked with Echo Electronics for the design and installation of the system. It has been created to cover the north, east and west grandstands. The main system includes 36 Proel AX2010P Axiom line array modules with power from six of the manufacturer’s HPX6000 amplifiers and processing via a pair of its PC260 digital audio processors. A further grandstand system consists of 16 Proel EDGEC15P64 15-inch, two-way point source speakers powered by four HPX6000 amps.
The Italian manufacturer believes this project highlights ‘how close collaboration between Proel system S.p.A., its professional lines technical support team and all resources involved from production to logistics, can lead to absolutely stunning results’. Added to this, it states that ‘the continuous and intensive exchange of technical information that occurred since the system’s design phase between Proel and Echo Electronics, with the active participation of the entire staff beginning with the owner of the company, Eng. Tariq Samman, has permitted the achievement of final results that are very similar to those had in the audio technical simulations’.
According to Proel, ‘the results have fully satisfied even top management and the stadium's engineering team, who are literally amazed at how a system with the complete absence of a sub has such high performance even at low frequencies’.
