New apps for Line 6 Midi-Mobilizer
Line 6 has added new features to its Midi Mobilizer platform alongside the introduction of an updated Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling key new features for the growing Midi Mobilizer third-party app developer community.
Newly added apps include Midi control surfaces, synths, sequencers and complete music production software as well as DMX lighting control software. Recent additions include NLogSynth Pro with 126 synth sounds, StepPolyArp, which is a step Midi arpeggiator, and NanoStudio, which is a virtual recording studio.
According to the manufacturer, the ‘cost-conscious’ Midi Mobilizer is the only Midi interface that can turn all models of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch into complete music production studios with the help of third party software applications. Midi Mobilizer is powered by the iPod touch, iPhone or iPad.
Chris Grigg, mobile products manager at Line 6 said: ‘The SDK and firmware updates have inspired more than 90 software developers worldwide whose inventive apps are really demonstrating the full potential of Midi Mobilizer’.
The SDK supports Midi System Real Time messages such as Midi Clock, which allows an app to sync to an external hardware drum machine or a sequencer running on a computer.
