New rental company Full Throttle Entertainment targets Australia
AUSTRALIA: New Sydney-based A/V rental company Full Throttle Entertainment (FTE) has reported it has experienced an ‘overwhelmingly positive’ response in Australia so far. Officially launched in late 2011, the company describes itself as a Funktion One specialist, and was set up after managing director Adam Ward identified a gap in the market.
FTE specialises in providing high-end A/V production for concerts, festivals, nightclubs, and boutique corporate events. ‘We aim to provide the best customer experience through dedication to service whilst providing quality through the deployment of better technology,’ said Mr Ward.
Admitting that starting the new business was ‘nothing but challenges,’ Mr Ward remarked that FTE believe that ‘any challenge can be overcome with persistence and knowing where you're headed. Keeping your eye on that end goal is very important,’ he added.
Mr Ward has worked with Funktion One for over eight years in a wide range of applications, and describes the manufacturer as his ‘brand of choice’. Mr Ward reports that he ‘identified a need in the Australian market that we believed as a company we could provide for. We have a unique skill set gained through 20 years in the entertainment business, and when coupled with a brand like Funktion One, we can really provide people with a great experience. We have a strong passion for sound and production and get a real kick out of people’s reactions when FTE service their event,’ he enthused.
Mr Ward stresses that he would consider dealing with other brands, but so far the reaction to Funktion one equipment has been so positive that this has not been necessary yet: ‘We are finding that more and more, people that have had a chance to listen to the brand – whether they are experienced in audio or not – can tell the difference and comment that it is the best sound they have heard.
‘We currently own one of the largest Funktion One systems in the country and the feedback has been so positive,’ he furthered. ‘So far we haven't even began to start advertising or marketing the business and we are getting a lot of offers to work the system.
‘There is definitely a need for a company like ours in Sydney,’ he asserted. ‘The market for live music and entertainment in general is so high. For me personally, there is nothing worse than finally making it to see your favourite artist and then the performance sounds terrible. It can even effect your appreciation of the artist. We can guarantee that with us that wont happen.’
The managing director describes himself as ‘very happy’ with the direction the company is going in so far. ‘There is huge potential in the market for a system like ours and we are really exited to be doing what we do,’ he concluded.
