Published: ASIA

WORLD: Both Eric Boyer and Karam Kaul have joined Harman Professional’s AKG, forming the core of the brand’s new sales and marketing team under the leadership of previously announced general manager Bryan Bradley. Mr Boyer has been named vice president of worldwide sales, while Mr Kaul is now director of marketing. Both appointees are based in Harman’s Northridge, California, headquarters.

Mr Boyer is a particularly well-known figure within the Asian professional audio industry, having previously relocated to Beijing to serve as director of marketing and global business development for Beijing Pacific Budee Technology Development Co. He has also worked for Burl Audio in Santa Cruz, California, been vice president of operations at Audio Agent, led marketing for PreSonus Audio Electronics and was director of marketing and later vice president of manufacturing at Blue Microphones. Mr Kaul joins AKG from leading US MI retailer Guitar Center, for whom he was most recently director of marketing for Guitarcenter.com.

Bryan Bradley described the appointments as helping AKG to reach its ‘untapped potential. With Eric and Karam in these leadership positions, I am confident that AKG will realise its vast market potential and provide customers and channel partners with the products and programs that make them successful.’
