New three-way splitter from Switchcraft
Switchcraft has launched a new single microphone splitter. The manufacturer’s latest offering is a passive device that provides three balanced XLR outputs (two isolated and one direct) from one XLR input.
The splitter features Mu-metal shielded isolating transformers which the manufacturer describes as helping to ‘eliminate ground loops, improve CMRR and block phantom power from interconnected equipment for ultra-clean audio paths’.
Other standard features in the device include a ground lift switch on each isolated output, 40dB pad and Switchcraft ferrite-shielded XLR connectors. For the highest-level performance, there is the option of Jensen transformers.
