NuVo Technologies is now shipping its new 180mm Single Point In-Wall stereo speaker.

The 203mm by 355mm speaker employs acoustic sloping and a computer-enhanced, three-way crossover design. It consists of two 64mm midranges, two 20mm inverted-dome tweeters, and a 180mm woven fibreglass woofer. It also features a paintable, micro-perforated magnetic grille.

NuVo has also launched its freestanding form of Renovia - a retrofit whole home audio solution. NuVo has designed the freestanding Renovia to be an efficient and adaptable retrofit solution that further reduces any cutting into walls or pulling wire, and requires no electrician on site. The system distributes audio and metadata throughout a home using Powerline Carrier technology and features a desktop amp. The Renovia system can be used for up to eight zones, each zone using one of NuVo’s zone amplifiers and supports a variety of sources for up to six audio outputs. The Renovia Hub contains a dual AM/FM tuner as well as dedicated outputs for the Renovia NuVoDock for iPod.
