Planar expands Clarity Matrix family

Planar Systems has added a 55-inch LCD model to its Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System family.

Planar’s newest large-format LCD video wall combines a narrow bezel and Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System architecture to create video walls. Planar’s EasyAxis Mounting System, off-board components and LED backlight extend the lifetime of the system, whilst making it easier and less costly to build, maintain and service multi-screen video displays— even in space-constrained retail spaces, public venues, corporate lobbies and control rooms settings.

The Clarity Matrix 55 utilises narrow bezel LCD technology, resulting in an image-to-image gap of 5.7mm, which reportedly creates extremely realistic visuals across multiple screens. The EasyAxis Mounting System offers an installed depth of 93mm from the mounting surface and makes front-serviceability, behind-screen access, individual screen replacement and panel-to-panel alignment quick and easy.

Off-board electronics and available redundant power supplies make the Clarity Matrix family easy to service, and the LED backlight and intelligent power supply automatically shut down if not in use, reducing power consumption.
