The Pro64 Network Manager PC control application is now available for download by Aviom, for users who prefer a centralised control and status monitoring option.
The new graphical interface provides both global and device-specific information to the user, allowing on-screen management of the audio networks from a single location.
Network settings and audio parameters for each Pro64 device can be handled on screen, while saved device-level presets can be recalled using local settings for individual Pro64 modules. Network-wide scenes can also be saved and reset for the entire network. The network manager connects to a Pro64 audio network via an RS-232 interface and comes with a built-in Managed Mode to simplify operation. All settings can be monitored, including channel activation and routing, internal/external clock source, sample rate, m-control setup for remote control of Pro64 mic preamps from a Yamaha digital console, Virtual Data Cables, and firmware version.
Elsewhere, the US manufacturer has also developed a digital networking system that can be accessed from a wall connection box in the form of the Wall Frame 6 and Pro64 Modular I/O System.
The Wall Frame 6 can be mounted either on or in standard studded walls with 16-inch centres, while the plates for the unit can be customised, allowing systems integrators to leave their contact information on them, as well as label different connections. Up to six four-channel audio cards ca be installed, including a four-channel remote-controllable microphone preamp, adjustable line-level analogue outputs and AES3 I/O with Word Clock.
Connected to the Pro64 network by a Cat-5 cable once powered, the Wall Frame 6 can then be configured from a PC installed with the Pro64 Network Manager PC control application. It can also be used in conjunction with Aviom’s complete line of Pro64 audio networking products and Pro16 Series personal mixers.
