Wharfedale Pro has released a new mid-format live mixing console in a classic 16:4:2 format. The SR806 features internally balanced circuitry after the channel EQ stage to minimise crosstalk and unwanted noise.
Five auxiliary sends are available for multipurpose use, or to be used in conjunction with application specific features tailored to live sound use. The SR806 includes two 24-bit 192KHz digital FX processors with a total of 56 different effect types. A dedicated subwoofer send has a switchable 80Hz/120Hz LPF for feeding subs with low frequency content. Two pre-fader sends are optimised for foldback applications.
The SR806 features eight mono channels with XLR mic preamps, and a further four mono/stereo channels with balanced quarter-inch TRS inputs. The mono channels feature a three-band EQ with parametric mid, while the stereo channels feature a four-band EQ. Each channel features professional long throw faders with four-stage LED metering per channel.
Also new is the DW Series of power amplifiers with three models: the DW-800, DW-1800 and the DW-2400. Each is housed in a 2U rackmount chassis and offers a different power output. All models can operate in dual mono or bridged mono modes.
The front panel of the DW Series features channel trim controls and a power switch. Power, Signal, Clip and Fault LED's per channel can help identify both normal and abnormal activity. The rear panel accommodates power via an IEC receptacle and has audio connections including XLR inputs and XLR through outputs for parallel wiring additional power amps. The main outputs use Speakon connectors.
