CHINA: Sennheiser microphones were recently put to use for a performance by the stars of The Voice of China when they performed a one-night show at the Hong Kong Coliseum to an audience of 12,500.
Li Daimo, a season one competitor, Li Qi the winner from season two and Simon Chung, a 60 year old competitor from season two performed with Hong Kong pop stars Hins Cheung, who is a Sennheiser endorser, while Vincy Chan, Mag Lam, Alfred Hui and Jay Fung also performed.
Sennheiser was also responsible for providing audio support for The Voice of China in the original shows, leading the artists to request the same microphones in Hong Kong. Altogether, four sets each of Sennheiser’s 9000 and 5000 microphones were specified for the event in Hong Kong.
‘We were very involved with the original programme in China and to have contestants request specifically to use Sennheiser microphones is a testament to the quality of the product,’ said Marc Vincent, president, Sennheiser Greater China. ‘We have enjoyed watching each of these amateur performers become fully fledged pros and Sennheiser is the perfect partner for any musician who wants to make great music.’
