The Adam MP1 ‘Mastering Piece’ is a mastering studio monitor featuring a 12.5-inch side-firing HexaCone woofer, driven by a 500W PWM amplifier,

The woofer can be mechanically tuned to a 23Hz corner frequency (-3dB point). The range between 80 and 800Hz is reproduced by ceramic cones.

Also new from Adam Audio is a range of low-end monitoring solutions. The Sub7 front panel features two motorised potentiometers to adapt the input level and crossover frequency settings. These pots can also be controlled with an included wireless remote control. The Sub7 is equipped with both balanced (XLR) and unbalanced (RCA or Cinch) in and output connectors and numerous controls. It has a 0°/180° phase switch and a switchable 85Hz highpass filter.

The Sub10 Mk2 and the Sub12 are subwoofers designed to extend the low frequency capabilities of any near or midfield monitoring. A 2-inch voice coil is driven by a 200W Ice Power amp. The Sub10 Mk2 houses a 10-inch woofer, capable of a frequency response of 25Hz - 150Hz. The larger Sub12 has a 12-inch woofer capable of producing a 3dB higher SPL max output and reproduces frequencies down to 22Hz. Both versions work with a new down-firing bass reflex tube.

The Sub8 has been designed to extend the low frequency capabilities of a nearfield monitoring system. It houses an 8.5-inch woofer with a 1.5-inch voicecoil, and is driven by a 160W ICE Power amp. The front baffle features two motorised knobs – controllable by wireless remote – to tailor input level and crossover frequency settings.

The Sub20 and Sub24 have been designed for medium sized or larger control rooms. The Sub20 is equipped with two long throw 10-inch drivers which are meant to reproduce LFE or other low frequency signals down to 25Hz. The Sub24, housing two long throw 12-inch drivers, extends down to 22Hz. The subs each have two drivers, which are mounted in chambers at opposite sides of the cabinet. There are also two down-firing bass reflex tubes.

Finally, the Sub2100 combines a 21.5-inch woofer, a 6-inch voice coil and an amplifier capable of 1kW. Housed in a bass-reflex enclosure that has reportedly been tuned for reproducing frequencies down to 18Hz, the enclosure produces linear SPL peaks of ≥128dB.
