Sun Infonet conducts Shure seminar series
INDIA: Four day-long Shure seminars hosted by authorised distributor Sun Infonet in Mumbai, Chennai, Bangaluru and Delhi have been carried out recently. The sessions introduced attendees to Shure’s fixed audio installation solutions and included demonstrations of the SCM820 digital automatic mixer, Microflex wireless system and QLX-D and ULX-D digital wireless systems. Participants also discovered new configurations for DIS DDS 5900 and DSC6000 discussion conferencing solutions. Some of India’s top integrators were in attendance over the course of the four days, including representatives from Resurgent AV Integrators, Unify Enterprises, Genesis IT Innovations Ltd, Actis Technology Pvt Ltd and Vega Technology.
Supported by Shure Asia product marketing manager Stanley Chiu, the first session took place at The Lalit Hotel in Mumbai. Mr Chiu educated participants on the latest Shure installed products and DIS conferencing solutions, and also outlined the manufacturer’s product life cycle to date. Those in attendance reportedly praised the platform as being ‘excellent for sharing best practices with like-minded audiovisual professionals’. The session concluded with a post-seminar dinner allowing participants to network and socialise further.
The second session took place at the Hotel Hilton Chennai, with Mr Chiu once more providing a showcase of the latest Shure products. These included the SCM820, MXW, QLX-D, ULX-D, DDS 5900 and DCS6000. Shure’s latest DIS permanently installed option, the DIS flush-mount series, was also introduced. Mr Chiu performed a live demo and highlighted its key features and benefits over competitive products with particular respect paid to overlay and product configurations.
The third seminar took place at The Grand Magrath Hotel in Bangaluru and was supported by Shure Asia’s business development manager Kim Jurgensen, who highlighted some of the technological advancements that have led the manufacturer to its current position in the fixed-install market. He also provided market insights that showed that Shure solutions are now being used in almost all vertical segments – from corporate, to education, government, entertainment and live events.
Completing the tour, the final session was held at The India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. Mr Jurgensen set off the event with a presentation focused around the BLX, ULX-D, QLX-D, MXW, DDS 5900, DCS 6000 and SCM820 solutions. He then shared a number of image references of various unique installations, encouraging attendees to think out of the box and use new product setups and solutions in future projects.
