WORLD: Universal Audio, a manufacturer of professional audio recording hardware and production software, has welcomed TC Electronic as a direct developer for its UAD Powered Plug-Ins platform. The partnership will bring TC Electronic’s tools for music production to users of Universal Audio’s UAD-2 DSP Accelerators and award-winning Apollo audio interfaces.

‘We are excited to bring our products to the vibrant and growing UAD platform,’ said Thomas Valter, VP of business management, broadcast and production at TC Electronic. ‘We’re impressed with Universal Audio’s commitment to the quality of the software available for UAD-2 and Apollo, and looking forward to being a unique addition to their plug-in offerings.’

Based in Denmark, TC Electronic is part of the TC Group, which includes Tannoy, TC-Helicon and Lab.gruppen among others. In the early 80s, TC Electronic’s stompbox, the SCF Stereo Chorus Flanger, set the standard for guitar effects with its impressive signal-to-noise ratio and rich modulation sounds. In the subsequent years, TC Electronic became one of the industry leaders in road-tested multi-effects rack units such as the Finalizer and countless reverb tools. In recent years, the Danish manufacturer has introduced new technologies including the TonePrint concept and loudness-based metering and processing.
