Tasker targets digital, DMX and Ethersound with new launches
Tasker has released a new range of cables specifically addressing the digital audio, DMX and Ethersound application sectors. Applicable for both indoor and outdoor use, the new cables employ installation-specific impedances between 100-ohms and 120-ohms, all of which conform to AES/EBU standards for audio digital professional transmission and for broadcast.
The manufacturer is keen to highlight the new 110-ohms digital audio cable range, comprised of models including the C800, C801, C850, TSK801 and multipair cables including two to 24 digital and shielded pairs, the TSK802 and the TSK824. The most recent additions to this range include the TSK1038, the TSK1039 and the TSK1040, each of which have reportedly been approved by the most demanding installers when applied to long-cabling installations.
These three high-performance DMX/digital audio cables are made with materials that provide an ‘excellent’ transmission, low attenuation, efficient shields and include sheaths in flame retardant ‘firestop’. Halogen free versions are also available, such as the HF1038, in addition to a halogen free and flame retardant combination cable such as the TSK1038 PUR, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This includes large areas such as airports, hospitals, sports facilities, theatres, conference halls, discos and for musical events.
Meanwhile, Tasker has also released the C522 120-ohms for XLR connectors at three and five pins, which is a ‘unique high-performance’ cable made up of two twisted aluminium ribbon and copper braid pairs each with 120-ohms impedance AES/EBU, special insulation, constant twisting, a double shielding, and an outer sheath in flame retardant firestop.
Another new cable takes the form of the C725 PUR Cat-5e snake, which boats a PVC+PUR double sheath for indoor and outdoor use and is designed to offer extreme flexibility for any type of Ethersound installation. Lastly, the C726 Cat-7 is an extremely flexible cable that includes an extra flame retardant PVC/PUR outer sheath.
