Technomad’s weatherproof Oslo subwoofer is primarily designed for fixed and permanent applications to be used in theme parks and sports venues, but is equally suited for temporary applications including live sound, corporate audio and theatrical performances.

The manufacturer reports its 18-inch sub features a high SPL, frequency response below 100Hz and a power rating of 1,250W. Technomad will also offer the Oslo in a powered configuration featuring a 1,600W weatherproof amplifier module based on the company’s PowerChiton amplifier technology.

Also new is the 500W PowerChiton4 range (including IP66 ingress protection), which can produce 1,600W of power for 8-ohm systems and 1,800W for 4-ohm systems. The range creates opportunities for designers and integrators to specify and install PowerChiton amplifiers within distributed audio systems covering large. Ethernet/audio-over-IP networking capabilities enable zone control and a centralised infrastructure tying multiple audio points together.
