WORLD: Tony Del Gianni has been named as Loud Technologies’ new vice president of operations. In his new role Mr Del Gianni will lead Loud’s manufacturing and operations activities, with a stated ambition to deliver ‘a world-class procurement, service, and support team’ capable of enabling ‘aggressive product innovation and market expansion’.

Mr Del Gianni most recently worked for Harman Professional. In his new role he will report directly to Alex Nelson, president of the Mackie and Ampeg brands, and will be based in the company’s Woodinville, USA headquarters.

Following the announcement, Loud CEO Mark Graham described himself as ‘thrilled’ with the appointment: ‘As we set our sights on even greater success at an even faster pace, I’m thrilled to have Tony take the reigns of our purchasing, procurement and support functions. I am confident that he will very quickly improve our time-to-market on new products and customer order fill rates, while at the same time increasing quality across our entire supply chain.’

Alex Nelson added: ‘Tony has the ideal mix of engineering chops, sourcing and procurement experience, quality management, and broad pro-audio supply base contacts. He will have a significant and immediate impact on both the availability and reliability of our products, and enable us to deliver on our promise of being the most valued provider of pro audio products on the planet.’
