Wharfedale Pro announces configuration tool
Guru is the name given to Wharfedale Pro’s new amplifier and loudspeaker configuration tool, which product manager Mike Mayne has described as ‘a simple graphical user interface that will run on nearly all home computers with an internet connection’.
Designed to cater for a broad range of system types, from ground stacked to flown, the system offers a wizard-driven interface based on criteria including the size of a venue, low frequency content, and desired SPL. According to Mr Mayne, the software takes ‘a novel subsystem approach to make even ambitious live sound systems within the capabilities of novice system designers’.
The software includes all of the manufacturer’s current range of loudspeakers and amplifiers, while third-party amplifiers can also be incorporated.
