White paper from Biamp studies collaboration technologies in business
WORLD: Biamp Systems has announced the release of a new white paper highlighting solutions for the communication difficulties faced by businesses working over increasingly large distances. Titled Clear Communications: Placing the End-User at the Heart of Collaboration, the white paper includes more than 37 per cent of respondents stating that time is regularly wasted on conference calls due to unsuccessful attempts to connect and poor sound quality.
According to Biamp, the white paper is intended to emphasise the need for organisations to adopt more integrated IT and A/V solutions in order to cope with increasingly international workforces. The manufacturer reports that 43 per cent of businesses who responded to polls have opened one or more offices over the past three years, while another 16 per cent are either planning or considering expanding into new locations. A total of 62 per cent of respondents stated that more integration between A/V systems and existing IT infrastructures would increase productivity at their companies, while 52 per cent added that such A/V systems could improve their company’s bottom line.
‘Clear communication is the primary facilitator of good business relationships,’ declared Graeme Harrison, executive vice president of marketing at Biamp. ‘With workforces becoming increasingly distributed around the globe, businesses cannot afford to be let down by the technology they use to enable collaboration. High quality conferencing exists, but the introduction of desktop conferencing solutions requires companies to invest thoughtfully so they gain all the benefits from this technology. Ensuring that clear, intelligible audio is included with the other capabilities is critical. Coordination between the IT department and the A/V expert will enable effective collaboration.’
The white paper is now available for free download now by either visiting this link or visiting the white paper section of www.ProAudio-Central.com here. Biamp has also produced an infographic to accompany the white paper, which can be viewed here.
