WORLD: AtlasIED has appointed Alex Puorro as vice president of IP endpoint development. With a master’s degree in business administration, Mr Puorro comes from a background in the financial services industry and has since moved into the communications technology industry, having worked for Cisco Systems during the last four years where he was responsible for managing and selecting technology vendors. In his new role, managing the IP endpoint business unit at AtlasIED, Mr Puorro will apply his leadership skills to developing the manufacturer’s VoIP product strategy and global channel networks.

The company states that the appointment is one of many currently ongoing within its leadership structure, which is currently expanding to support continued growth. Mr Puorro will also serve as a key contributor for the manufacturer’s brand initiatives.

‘Alex and I have built a close business relationship during his tenure at Cisco Systems,’ noted John Ivey, president of AtlasIED. ‘I am very excited to bring his IT knowledge, team building, and vendor management skills to our organisation. AtlasIED has become a leader in IP endpoints. With Alex, we can take it to a whole new level.’

‘I'm very excited to come work for AtlasIED,’ added Mr Puorro. ‘I've seen what AtlasIED is capable of firsthand in my role with Cisco Systems, and I can't wait to help grow and expand the AtlasIED brand.’
