Audio Brains is powered up with Powersoft
JAPAN: Pro audio specialists Audio Brains has been appointed as Powersoft’s new Japanese distributor. Established in 2007, its distribution portfolio includes beyerdynamic, Martin Audio and Symetrix. In addition, it also enjoys dealer status for Avid consoles and d&b audiotechnik loudspeakers. ‘Powersoft fits comfortably into several professional sectors — both for touring and installation,’ commented sales and marketing representative Shin Yamada. ‘This is a great opportunity and we are delighted to be representing the brand.’
The union was cemented between Audio Brains CEO Fujii Shuzo and Powersoft regional sales manager, Arthur Soh. ‘He opened the door for us at Powersoft and talked at length both about opportunities in the Japanese market and the worldwide situation,’ furthered Mr Yamada.
Mr Soh recalled the occasion. ‘Audio Brains first expressed interest in Powersoft around two years ago during Frankfurt Pro Light & Sound. After months of evaluation and further discussion we decided to make the change. We believe that with their experience in the pro audio market, we will be able to further develop our brand image and awareness in the Japanese market, whilst their strong contacts in the touring market will give us more exposure in the Japanese rental market.’
Although Powersoft already has good brand recognition in Japan, Mr Yamada believes there is plenty of scope for further exposure. ‘The K and M series are already popular in the touring sector, but I believe the X and Ottocanali series will open new doors for us in installation, further enhancing our company’s reputation.’
Audio Brains is wasting no time in introducing Powersoft to its customer base with a series of roadshows and seminars together with media exposure. The company has already received full training from Powersoft’s applications engineer, Remo Orsoni, whilst Mr Yamada himself is conducting domestic customer training. Meanwhile, a new Singapore-based technical support/application engineer will be joining Mr Soh and Mr Orsoni providing support for the APAC region with ongoing training together with the company’s existing Sound School programme.
‘Since the moment that Mr Orsoni demonstrated the Armonia software for the X series, I was totally won over,’ concluded Mr Yamada. ‘I firmly believe that Powersoft will drive our business forward to the next level, by offering lightweight, high power solutions together with high quality DSP and digital audio streaming.’
