BAI Hotel Cebu enlists Exterity for in-room entertainment

Published: ASIA

PHILIPPINES: The BAI Hotel Cebu has selected solutions from Extremity to provide TV and video entertainment to each of its 650 guest rooms, as well as digital signage solutions for its public areas and meeting rooms. The hotel, which is located between Mandaue and Cebu, aims to provide its guests with ultra-modern facilities and amenities and was looking to reflect its commitment to modernity by providing guests the ‘latest in-room entertainment’. The solution was deployed by Exterity’s partner, LS Technology Solutions Philippines Incorporated, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Technology Solutions Pte Ltd, which specialises in products for the hospitality industry.

‘Modern hotels are relying heavily on video and interactive technology to offer a unique guest experience and being able to use a single platform to deliver a complete hotel solution is paramount when you have as many rooms as BAI Hotel Cebu,’ said Colin Farquhar, CEO at Exterity. ‘Ease of use, centralised system management, reliability and robustness are all essential attributes of our integrated IP video and digital signage solution. By working closely with a trusted local partner, we are delighted to be able to provide a state-of-the-art experience for BAI Hotel Cebu guests.’

The installation consists of Exterity ArtioSign digital signage to display events, promotions, advertisements and wayfinding in the hotel reception and public areas. Guests can watch films as well as 60 local and international TV channels through their in-room entertainment portal, ArtioPortal, which interfaces with Agilysys’ Property Management System (PMS) and Samsung hospitality SmartTVs.
