Best FM calls upon Stagetec Asia and DHD once more
MALAYSIA: In 2014, Stagetec Asia won the tender to supply and install studio equipment at Best FM main studio facility in Johor Baru. That installation included a 12-fader DHD 52-SX. Following on from this, Stagetec Asia, which serves as the Malaysian distributor DHD Audio, was contracted by the radio station once again recently, installing a new 52-SX at Best FM’s standby facility as part of a refurbishment.
The DHD 52-SX replaces an old analogue system that the radio broadcaster had been using for more than a decade. That mixer was no longer capable of keeping up with Best FM’s ever-growing requirements. A digital modular mixing console, the 52-SX can be used for smaller applications.
Other systems were also included as part of the installation. These include a Sonifex profanity delay, a Telos telephone hybrid, a Røde Broadcaster microphone and an Orban audio processor for the master control room.
‘We had a long, solid relationship with DHD, having used their products since 2014. The products are user friendly, flexible and very cost effective,’ explained Yusry Abu Samah, CEO at Best FM. ‘As far as I am concerned Stagetec Asia is very experienced and proven in delivering any broadcasting project.’
‘We thank Best FM’s management for having the trust in us to deliver both the system and our professional service support,’ said Advon Tan, managing director of Stagetec Asia. ‘It is our great honour to be part of the Best FM studio upgrade.’
