beyerdynamic conference system pleases the court
OMAN: The Royal Court of Oman has recently started using its newly-built Supreme Court premises. The specifications for the new building called for an integrated technological infrastructure to support the judicial work carried out. To provide this Oman International Electronics (OHI) was engaged to design and install the A/V solution, which comprised beyerdynamic installation microphones as well as wireless microphone and conference systems.
An MCS-D 200 wired conference system was deployed with 41 MCS-D 3821 microphone units built in. These were customised to complement the interior design of each room and were integrated with the conference tables upon which they sit, descending into the furniture when not in use to disappear from view.
Each of the courtrooms has also been equipped with the manufacturer’s TG 1000 digital wireless system. OHI installed a total of 26 TG 1000 Handheld Transmitters, each with a TG V70w microphone head, 20 TG 1000 dual receivers as well as 10 TG 1000 beltpack transmitters and 10 TG L58c clip-on mics. Assisting the TG 1000 system with its speech intelligibility responsibilities in the court are 72 Classis GM 314 microphones.
Monitoring and control of the TG 1000 system is enabled via the included software with an Ethernet or web interface on a PC, tablet or smartphone. The system's integrated navigation menu provides encryption and negligible latency to protect against potential eavesdropping, which is particularly important in a courtroom.
Completing the setup were two WA-AC10 and eight WA-AC25 antenna cables, five WA-AS6 470-790MHz 6-way wideband antenna splitters and 10 WA-ATO 470-790MHz passive omni directional wideband antennas. An MCS-D 3823 table with mounting frame and a CA 4146 power supply unit were also installed along with CA 4302, CA 4305 and CA 4310 connection cables. With the system up and running, the client is reportedly impressed.
